Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Visiting any church for the very first time can make anyone a little nervous.
Where do I go? What do I wear? What time do I show up? What’s here for my kids?
What can I expect?
These and many more questions can come to your mind. Well, we want to put you at ease.
Your first visit to Trinity Baptist Church we trust will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable experience for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home!”
Here are a few answers to your questions about what you might expect on your first visit.
What should I wear?
There is not a dress code at Trinity Baptist Church for members or guests. Our pastor and some of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, specific attire is not required, and our members wear a variety of styles of clothing. We think it makes sense to wear nice, clean, modest clothing to church. As long as you do that you will not feel out of place. Our Pastor calls his Sunday dress style as “business casual.”
Do you have a nursery, Jr. Church (Sunday School)?
Yes. The nursery is right off the main sanctuary and a large glass into the nursery gives you the opportunity to be a part of the service while there as you can see right into the sanctuary and has a remote speaker as well.. We also have an area right in the sanctuary where children can sit and colour during the service. We are a family oriented church thus our children are seen and heard during our worship time together. We give the families the option of either having their children and youth stay in the service as a family or go out for Junior church (up to age 10).
What are your services like?
Our services are what is commonly called “blended.” The worship music primarily is sung from videos picked out by the worship leader for that week. (We are praying that in time we will have musicians able to lead us instead). The focus of all of our meetings is the Word of God. Generally, we integrate prayer, songs/hymns, a message from the Bible using PowerPoint and detailed handout, an offering and announcements, with a closing song/hymn.
Do visitors have to stand up and say anything or have a meet and greet time?
No, you sure don’t and we trust you received a hardy welcome at the door.
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We don’t invite you to Trinity Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest but if you feel so inclined we take up an offering during the service time and will also send you a tax deductible receipt at the end of the year.
Is The Church Wheelchair Accessible?
Yes it is.
