Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Visiting any church for the very first time can make anyone a little nervous.

Where do I go? What do I wear? What time do I show up? What’s here for my kids?

What can I expect?

These and many more questions can come to your mind. Well, we want to put you at ease.

Your first visit to Trinity Baptist Church we trust will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable experience for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home!”

Here are a few answers to your questions about what you might expect on your first visit.

What should I wear?

There is not a dress code at Trinity Baptist Church for members or guests. Specific attire is not required, and those who attend wear a variety of styles of clothing. We think it makes sense to wear nice, clean, modest clothing to church. As long as you do that you will not feel out of place. Our Pastor calls his Sunday dress style as “business casual.”

Do you have a nursery, Jr. Church (Sunday School)?

Yes. The nursery is right off the main sanctuary and a large glass and speaker system is installed thus giving you the opportunity to be a part of the service. It is designed that you can see right into the sanctuary. We also have an area right in the sanctuary where children can sit and colour during the service. We are a family oriented church thus our children are seen and heard during our worship time together. We give the families the option of either having their children and youth stay in the service as a family or go out for Junior church (up to age 10).

What are your services like?

Our services are what is commonly called “blended.” The worship music primarily is sung from videos picked out by the worship leader. (We are praying that in time we will have musicians able to lead us instead). The focus of all of our meetings is the Word of God. Generally, we integrate prayer, songs/hymns, a message from the Bible using PowerPoint and detailed handout. The offering plate is not passed around and a designated area in the sanctuary is where tithes and offerings can be placed.  We also give announcements, with a closing song/hymn.

Do visitors have to stand up and say anything or have a meet and greet time?

No, you sure don’t and we trust you received a hardy welcome at the door. You may receive a welcome brochure giving simple information about the church.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

No. We do not invite you to Trinity Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace.

Please do not feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest however.

If I feel I want to give towards the work of TBC , how do I do that?

if you feel so inclined that you would like to take part in giving to the Lord's work of TBC you may drop off your offering in the offering plate or another couple of options are;

1. Send a interact e transfer to tbc-admin@sasktel.net

2. Mailing a cheque to the church - Trinity Baptist Church 1702-106th st North Battleford, SK S9A3G5 .

All tax deductible receipts are issued at the end of the fiscal year end (December 31) thus if you include your name and address we will mail out a receipt for the tithes and offerings you have entrusted to TBC in the year.

Is The Church Wheelchair Accessible?

Yes it is.

What version of the Bible does the church use?

It varies. Our Pastor preaches from the New King James (NKJV), English Standard Version (ESV) and the New American Standard Bible (1995).  It all depends on the series in which he is preaching. We do not make it a "test of fellowship" based on Bible preference. We want the folks who come to TBC to be "people of the book" not the people of a "certain" book.

How many times to you observe communion (Lord's Supper)?

Once a month, usually the first Sunday of the month. It is open to anyone who professes Jesus as Lord of their life. We use individual (one piece) cup and bread elements passed out during the informal communion time and we take up at the end of the communion time a special designated offering (over and above the normal offering) towards a specific project or missions agreed upon early in the year by the church membership.
